Theres only 8 teams. When I watched it on tv then heard sports radio call in on Saturday (driving around a lot) .. theres was a sense of genuine DMV sporting pride. DC is very transient. A caller said hes from Seattle and a Seahawk fan, buddy is from Texas and a Cowboy fan but they are united as DC Defender fans.

There was a good bit of positive buzz around DC .. but thats only bc we have a DC team. If we didnt, zero chance Im tuning into seattle v houston or something like that.

For the DC area, it was cool. People were into it.
