Didn't the Eagles get 2 or 3 extra picks last draft because of players that left through free agency? The Redskins lost Antonio Peirce and Fred Smoot, so you would figure that you would get two picks for those two.
It seems that everyone is worried about not having enough draft picks, but I'm not worried about those First Rounders. I would like to see some depth added and some gems in the later rounds.
Or do i have this compensation for free agency thing all wrong? Does it not work the way i'm thinking it does?

I'ts not that easy it dependes on 2 factors what was the value of this players to the teams that adquire them like were they starters, did they reach the playoff, did he went to the pro bowl, etc... right now you would get a compensatory 4th maybe 3th rounder for pierce because hes havng a great season as a giant, smoot I haven't seen him play.
Also it dependes on the players your team adquire via free agency that hurts in the formula if you adquire a player that's helping yoru team a lot and its going to the pro bowl it down grades the pics you get that 3rd rounder would become a 4th or 5th
