There’s an old saying when it comes to young guys in racing, it’s easier to slow them down than to get them to go faster. Risk takers can be trained when not to take a risk but it’s hard to train someone to be a risk taker. Too many natural instincts to fight. Haskins can be a good QB but he’s likely never going to be an elite QB. He needs experience, something he should have gotten before he got to the NFL. Being risk adverse and inexperienced will be tough to overcome. What he needs is for the team to build around him and be willing to lose for 2-3 years while he gets the experience but the team might not, and shouldn’t be, willing to do that.
