From this statement, it sounds as though you don't think the Giants are playing very good football, because they played last week, like Washington has been playing the past several weeks. And yet, Washington(5-6) is supposedly better than New York(7-4)?
The way Washington has been playing is they way they're going to play for the rest of the season. The games will be close, but the magic was used up at the beginning of the season, so they'll be lucky to win two of the last five. The unrelenting optimism is admirable, but people have to be realistic. You can't will the Redskins into the playoffs.
