I agree 100% here. I am not trying to make a case for Spurrier here, it just seems like at this point in the year during his reign he was constantly thrown under the bus, and Gibbs hasn't been any more successful than Spurrier. I think as fans we should try to take our personal bias's out just a little bit and realize that the team is not getting it done and I relate that straight back to the head coach, especially when they assume GM and playcalling responsibilities.
As far as Spurrier quitting, I don't think that's really what happened. I think Snyder told him he could quit or he could be fired, pick which you want. Spurrier has all the money he needs and was disappointed in what he did in Washington and took the first route.
