I think we're probably about middle of the pack in run d instead of near the bottom.
Combining my impressions from watching the games with Cooley's film breakdowns, I'd guess it's the LBs and Safeties missing run gap fits and missing tackles.
Our DTs are not getting blown up, even on double teams, and our DEs have been holding the edge really well. That leaves the LBs and Safeties.
It just seems like there are way too many runs, between the tackles, going for 6+ yards, instead of getting stopped by a back 7 player at the LOS.
Maybe it's glass half full, but I think the rush defense will improve with Holcomb and Everett starting. (not saying either is the answer, just better than the alternatives)
