The D is ahead of schedule and this situation is such a great learning experience as far as learning to win the games you have to win with the pressure on no matter how weak the competition in the division is. Regardless if they make the playoffs at 8- 8 or 7- 9 and get bounced in the first round it’ll be a teaching moment to build on for the future.

You are right, of course. The goal is to win this game and make the playoffs. If Alex Smith can't go, then playing Haskins at QB gives us by far the better chance of winning than playing a scout team QB. It would have to be done. All other issues with Haskins can wait.
Also, any player who is on the field can make a game-changing play - not just the QB. We all know this. The entire team needs to come out of the tunnel like berserkers and take this game, no matter what. I think they will.
