Oh he just wanted to be there for something? Stay in the crease, have some water and watch. You leave the crease you are opening yourself up.
And honestly where were the Caps to get in the way? That is who I would have a problem with. Not coming to his defense. Anyway Emery was a Flyer for a hot minute and he stunk. Never was a fan. Also yeah Emery should have just laughed at him. I just know if i was Holtby I am staying in the crease and not even thinking about leaving the crease. You cannot be an unwilling participant AND be there to help in a fight.
Holtby also threw the first punch. Maybe he was just going down to hold him in check and make sure he wasn’t getting involved.
