The nickname to the real name is a bit of a head scratcher to me … if you are gonna reduce every team name to its simplest form then just pick a simple name to begin with .. example the San Francisco 49ers are called the 9ers?? Cowboys /the Boys? What the hell is a Vike? , what is the Carolina panthers nickname ?? What is the Texans ? I call the Washington Commanders the commanders.. we don’t need some silly ass abbreviation ..
