The COLTs get their adoration from Peyton Manning. He could do no wrong to them and from the time he left and they got Reich, they pinned those "repeat" hopes on him as their Head Coach. I was in Indy for nearly two decades and ALL of the Manning Years, Coach Caldwell, as well after Dungy, for whom I spoke with a few months here in NC. They IDOLIZED This man like Koby to LA and Jordan to Chicago. Mark Rypien tried to repeat it, nothing doing, and on and on. When Wentz showed up, they had hoped he'd rekindle the magic Philly had, when unfortunately Wentz went down. I think people rushed him and made excuses for their OWN failures.
Wentz doesn't play Defense Indy. Just because he failed on a throw (oh you mean, like Unitas with SD when he left the Colts, Tarkenton, when he left the Giants, or Manning's first year failing at the SB for Denver, or his repeat for Indy (he's 2-2). Don't forget Montana getting stumped in the AFC Championship game. Oh should I add,
Bret Favre at Minn, Kurt Warner in that "last try?"/
Yet for all the man did to even come back to play, you pinned your failing loss of a TEAM on ONE Man in a game I watched them out smart you and YOUR BELOVED COACH. Stop blamming others for what was done. Look at yourselves.
