I spent 2 days in the National Archives looking for the original copy of this Law Enforcement manual that some defense expert was relying upon. I think I had a DC federal judges order with me giving me permission
This was in the late 90s pre internet as we know it now.
Day 2 finally found someone helpful and we went to the back back area ... HUGE warehouse rooms with collapasable/foldable accordian style shelves that were 15 feet high
Every book, every manual, every manual of a manual was there
there was dust and it felt like some scene from a movie
Found it in nick of time and had to speed back to court
