My wife never missed a chance, over our several decades of marriage, in social situations where conversation moved through politics, the arts, technology, religion, and economics, to tell people, “You know, the only thing my husband REALLY cares about is the Redskins.”
And for the last two of those decades, I’ve winced hearing that, even to the point of telling her to stop saying it.
