I feel confident that Patrick "can" do the things you suggest in your post. I believe in him as well. To date, those attributes have not been seen on a consistent basis or have been accompanied by other negative traits and/or results. He did have a big part in the Giant win in relief for Brunell. I am damn glad to have him, as are all Skins fans.
You speak several times in the post that you "think" Patrick can so this or that. The difference with that line of thought and Brunell, is Brunell "has" demonstrated week after week that he can deliver those things. I'm not sure the big deal with Brunell and the long ball, as he has burned teams weekly with just that! Brunell has the team on the verge of something we have ALL waited for a long, long time. Patrick may be a different more mature QB than he was at the beginning of the year. Now is not the time to risk what
might be as we ALREADY have,
what is in hand. Not a good decision, even for a
Ramsey Homer.
