He is also on pace to be the all time leading sacked leader (96 sacks) beating the record held by David Carr (76) by 20 sacks.
It also helps your yards passing number when you keep getting your ass sacked and your team is constantly behind so you have to throw the damn ball 50x and if you are down big then teams are easily going prevent D making it easier to pass short and mid range crap until you are in the Red Zone, see Bears game.
IMHO, I think Sam will be a quality starter in this league for a handful of years but he is not the next super star by any means or a QB that can carry a team on his own to a SB.
If we are staying on the Sam train we need to boost the O-line, maybe find a more explosive back and he needs a go to super star TE.
