jamf will you at least give Howell some credit if we end up flipping one of these picks for a stud pick or player or we draft a stud with one of the Seahawks picks?
Because if we draft a pro bowler with the 78th overall pick that we got as a result of Howell playing - he gets a piece of the credit. He played well enough to improve our draft position and that counts for something.
Yes he played like ass in the second half of the season last year but I'm not tossing his career in the garbage yet. Lots of guys need multiple years of seasoning before they understand the NFL game. I won't be surprised if Howell stays in the league for 10+ years as a backup or mid-range starter. He's just not ready right now.
And give him credit where it's due - he played the entire year and got us the #2 overall pick. Imagine if he was mediocre enough to get us a classic Ron 8-8 record? If our next qb is a stud we can thank Howell for his efforts.
TL;DR: Thanks for everything Sam. Good or bad you played a direct role in setting up this franchise for the long term future. Your career isn't over yet and now get a chance to relax and take your time learning the game. Good luck - except for when you play us.
