Like any conspiracy theory, it falls down as soon as you realise any single person on teh inside could expose it. Not a single official, current or retired, or NFL staffer has ever come forward and said there's something going on. This is just a range between human error and incompetence. We've had it for years in the football leagues, especially the PL, but aside from some dodgy Asian officials, who got found out (kinda proving the point), nobody has ever found any evidence of foul play at the higher levels of officialdom.
