Good description of how I felt. I was in disbelief that we were going to lose a game they pretty much had control of from the very start. I was frustred that it was only 6-0 when it should have been far more. I was frustrated that the offensive execution lead to a lot of big penalties and cost them 2 second half timeouts. That has to be cleaned up.
But how about that defense? Caleb was missing guys all over the field until he faced a tired defense but man they played well. I had meant to post that I was still waiting for Johnny Newton to show something, anything. Yesterday he had a more impactful game than Jon Allen has had in 2 seasons.
The game turned upside down after the Swift TD run, up until that point the Bears looked dead and that play gave them life. But we did get lucky with the goal line fumble and of course the Hail Mary. All evening I kind of wish they won with more than luck, a game winning drive or whatever. But no real complaints either, finally the Football Gods are not kicking us in the teeth. At least for now.
