Re: -----------Fake Redskins fans-------------

Parts of this debate are ridiculously juvenile.

First off, I don't think anyone ever suggested that the length of time you were a member of the Warpath has anything to do with your dedication to the team.

Secondly, do you have to go to games to be a fan? Do you have to own jerseys? Do you have to know the entire roster? Do you have to meet players? Do you have to know history and when the last super bowl wins were? Which of these is the requisite condition for being a REAL fan?

It's ridiculous. It's been said here already, but I feel the need to reiterate. You're a fan if the highs are high and the lows are low. If a win makes you feel elated and losses make you feel a major let down, you're a fan. If repeated losing seasons don't change your emotions regarding wins and losses, then you are truly loyal.

I too don't like people who jump from team to team. I don't care if the Skins go 3-13 for the next 25 years, my loyalties will never change. If your loyalties would change in that situation, then I'd suggest you never get married because you're probably not the kind of person who can stay true to your spouse. And I don't suspect we have any of those people on this site, when I come here I see intelligent discussion accented with passion. The number of games you go to, or the number of warpath posts you've made, or the number of players you can name don't define you. Your passion and your loyalties define you.
