He's been running into trouble, whereas last year he seemed better able to keep himself safe. Whatever is going on in his head, when he comes back (assuming it's this season) the staff have to look honestly at him and ask whether he is in the right head space to play, whatever he says. Never mind his physical health (and I wouldn't risk him unless he's 95%+), is his head back in the game? If it's not, sit him and rebuild his confidence and ability to read the field. I don't think he's done and I think he can overcome this season, but the coaching staff have work to do here. My fear is they throw him back in there and he gets hurt worse or regresses more.
