Re: The best 'Skins rant I've heard this year!!!

I don't think people are mad that we're the underdogs; I think everyone understands why that is. What is annoying is the fact that it seems like every analyst and talking head out there is completely trashing this team and basically saying that we suck and are lucky to be in this position. We are the true fans, that's why we tend to talk more about the other issues at play during this game (like the strength of schedule and quality wins) and less about the obvious facts like home field advantage and the bye week. We believe in this team because we have seen what it is capible of.

We just beat the top rated D on the road and people are complaining because our offense didn't do enough? So what? 120 total yards in a win IS STILL A WIN, just like 400 total yards in a loss is still a loss! So I say let people keep doubting these Redskins. Let the seahawks kicker ("... the kick is up, and it hits the upright! This game is going to overtime!) say whatever he wants. Let the ESPN 'experts' throw gas on the fire that is Gregg Williams. Sure it pisses us fans off, but it also seems to get this team pumped.

The point is, it seems like everyone is discounting what this team has actually accomplished over the past season, and a lot of us are sick of it. I'm a realist, I know that the playoffs are obviously an ongoing uphill battle for the Skins and I know that it would be a huge turn-around for us to make it to or win the Super Bowl. However, I also know that this team has absolutely earned the respect of everyone in the league, and I hope that Gibbs and Williams and all the players never stop fighting until they force it out of the last of these doubters.

6 down, 3 more to go...
