If you disagree with Salisbury, then disagree with him and offer counter-arguments. But to hate him because he doesn't think the Skins are the best team in the NFL - - News Flash: They aren't at the moment! - - is sort of silly.

I don't disagree with him because he doesn't think the Skins are the best in the NFL, it's obvious they're not.
But c'mon SC, the overall sentiment all year in the national media has been generally pretty negative towards the Redskins. Blowhards like Salisbury and Cris Carter have seemingly gone out of their way at times to slam the Skins, make bold predictions regarding their demise, and even make statements like I'll walk from NY to DC or wear a hogette costume if they make the playoffs(which they both pathetically renegged on).
Right from the start of the preseason the Skins were given no shot. Dr. Z said we'd go 4-12. I asked Lenny P. in a preseason chat if he would write a positive article about the Skins for a change if they made the playoffs, he said he had nothing to worry about that the Skins weren't gonna do it.
After the 3-0 start we heard blowhards like Brian Cox proclaim the Skins were the worst 3-0 team in NFL history. Even after we smoked Dallas in the 2nd meeting all Sean Salisbury had to say after was he still felt Dallas was a better team and that they would still make the playoffs.
Some people have come around and given the Skins their due. Bradshaw admitted he was wrong about Gibbs and his coaching abilities and even predicted that the Skins would run the table and make the playoffs. Chris Mortenson and John Clayton are pretty unbiased in their opinions of the Skins.
Perhaps in '06 the Skins will have a bit more respect headed into the season. Winning generally will get you that, but I'm sure there will always be haters like Lenny Pasta and Sean Salisbury blowing plenty of hot air in the Redskins' direction.
