Second, this year he was a finalist for the Lott trophy - an award based on personal character as well as excellence on the playing field. He also was a finalist for the Ted Hendricks award, which recognizes the top defensive lineman. Tapp has those intangible features we refer to as heart, determination, passion and pride. He wants to be the best. He pushes himself beyond what number crunching analyst convince themselves of what he should be capable of doing. Having said all that, I think coming out of college Corey Moore was better but since he got shot in the leg early in his career well never know what he was capable of.

I over heard a guy after VT's bowl game call Beemer and VT players a bunch punk's. So I asked him which college team he followed and he said UVA. Then I asked about the UVa player who choped block the BC player after the play was blown dead and only was hit with a one game suspension. He did not have much to say after that. Alot of people like to attack VT because they are jealous of how much they have achieved over the past ten years. As for Tapp I think he will make it in the NFL but he will need to add some pounds to take the every day beating. I'm intrested in seeing what happens with Nimo. He has the speed and talent but his size may be what holds him back. He just kins of reminds me of Rock.
