The first time Coach left it was a "perfect storm" of bad events that caused the Skins to fall so fast:

1. The team was getting old.
2. Free Agency cost the team some valuable players e.g. Gary Clarke, Mark May, Mark Schlereth.
3. Nearly every player that Casserly brought in through FA was el busto e.g. Tim Mcgee, Al Noga
4. Desmond Howard (drafted in 1992) was el busto
5. Richie Petitbon was ill suited to the Head Coaching job.
6. Petitbon and Casserly did not get along.
7. Injuries
8. Offensive Coordinator - Rod Dowhower

It is unlikely that events would conspire in such a way the second time around.
