Re: 2006 Hall of Fame Inductees

What a travesty this is.

Harry Carson was a good player but if he is a Hall of Famer, then so is Chris Hanburger. Hanburger played 14 seasons, 9 Pro Bowls, lost one Super Bowl. Carson: (13,9, and won 1) 7 of his Pro Bowls were after LT, Banks, and Marshall arrived.

Is Rayfield Wright even in the Cowboys Ring of Honor? I've been in Texas stadium several times and don't remember his name up there. If he's not, that means its easier to get into the HOF than into the Cowboys ROH. What a Joke!

Update: Rayfield Wright was inducted into the ROH in 2004. Twenty five years after he retired. It took a while for his own fans to apprciate him, I guess.

Derrick Thomas is more deserving than Carson, Wright, Madden, or Moon. Surely the voteers don't hate Lamar Hunt.

After watching Peter King on Charlie Rose last night I realized that PK knows nothing about the game. His whole approach is based on hyping individual story lines with lots of conytroversy and/or sentimentality. If he can find some New York connection then so much the better. Artur should wear KIng's disrespect like a badge of honor because King is a simpleton.

It kills me to say it but Aikman is a claas guy. I wish he had played for us. Norv Turner will introduce him at the induction ceremony.

How did Grimm's presence in Detroit as a coach effect his chances? My first thought is that it would have helped since there is more balogna for the media that way. But perhaps the voters would have viewed that as creating a distraction for Pitt or endorsing Pitt.
