Re: Holmgren
Steelers won. Handshake is traditional show of gratitude if nothing else for the cameras and the fans. I think it's real lame of Holmgren not to shake hands. Sure its a spectacle after the gun, but other coaches have shaken hands under far worse outcomes. Holmgren prospered in a division with STL 6-10, AZ 5-11 and San Fran 4-12. So 6 wins come off that piss poor division. Won't interject here that the Redskins and the Seahawks tied in NFC wins/losses, but I will say that Seattle had an easy home road to the SB while Pittsburgh played their #6 seed spot on the road since the wildcard game. Jeremy Stevens? Bust. Alexander (even thought league MVP: proved he's a nonfactor in post season play) will be gone next season. Hasselbeck glad to have an appearance in the SB, he'll never see those days again. Holmgren should be replaced after the easiest season in his career not being able to show up in the big game. Sure the offensive interference call was bs but how many games have a call or 2 that is purely human error? All of them! Did Ben get in? Ref couldn't tell til he saw the ball and replay was honestly inconclusive. Seattle was overrated and deserved to be exposed by the hand of a #6 seed team that beat Denver and Indy on the road in the playoffs. Booyah! Seattle will not win their division next season and perhaps won't see a wildcard birth either. Toast to another 'pretender' being shown out; ie the Philadelphia Eagles.
