Personally I wouldn't trade him for less than the Jets second, he's worth more to us as a backup than a 3rd rd pick. Brunell is getting older, he is also unwilling to take a hit any longer, I believe that is going to cause a problem this season, Saunders asks his QB's to stand in the pocket, Trent Green was very good at that, Patrick is good at it, and I believe Campbell will also be able to hang in there, I don't believe Brunell will be able to, which makes the backup far more valuable this season. If Brunell can't get it done, or get's injured are we prepared to let Campbell take over the reigns of what could be a super bowl team? I know I wouldn't, I feel much more comfortable with Ramsey in there.
Although if it was up to me Ramsey would be the starter and Brunell would be gone, I wouldn't trade him period.
The Jets still remember that game a few years ago that Ramsey had against them under SS, he looked like a budding star, I think that particular game will go a long way in getting good value from the Jets. As one x- jet's GM said, the word around the league is that Patrick is much more valued by other teams than he is in DC.
