How about this for a possible destination? San Francisco.
If memory serves, not only do they have about a zillion dollars in signing bonus tied up in Alex Smith, but he isn't close to ready. Oh, and neither was anyone else.
A one year deal for a guy who will likely be a placeholder, but won't break the bank if he shines. Sounds like a good situation for them.
