I could be wrong on this, but I think the difference is that TO had a contract that he wanted tore up and redone. LaVar alleged that $6 million in bonus money was owed him that was a mistake (misunderstanding?) on his agent's part. MB isn't asking for more money or a new deal, just what's on his contract.

But as I said before I think his posturing at the moment is all part of the bigger CBA picture.
