This is just the way football is now.... players get the huge contracts at any sign of some sort of potential. But the kicker is that these contracts aren't guaranteed anyway so they still have to perform at a high level. Of course, this opens the door to the old debate on whether any of these players are worth the kind of dough they are making these days in sports.
Although, imo Delhomme did very good last year and made the plays when he had to.
