I think LaVar is just used to doing his own thing and making plays. There is no doubt that he wants to win, but he was reluctant to "buy in" to the d-coordinators because he knew he was going to be there longer than that guy. Lewis's scheme was all about discipline and trust, it works better the longer you are in it as you come to believe in your teammates. I think LaVar will LOVE this new scheme, I'm sure Williams will a way to keep LaVar in the middle of the action.
The one thing that the pass deflections show to me is that LaVar is a playmaker. I can't wait to see him rushing off the end, he should easily post double digit sacks again this year.
