The Washington Redskins have used a high-powered coaching staff to lure many exciting Free Agents in the Market to Washington. The biggest addition of theirs was the signing of Wide Receiver Antwaan Randle El, and the exciting playmaker had many suitors for his services this off-season. He just knew one thing, and that was his time in Pittsburgh needed to end. It was time for him to move on, and not for reasons that were of a negative times in Pittsburgh. Randle El was just ready to be the next Plaxico Burress. In Pittsburgh, you are the number two receiver to Hines Ward, and it teaches you how to be a better number one receiver. Randle El is now ready to move on, and be a major number one-A receiver to Santana Moss. Randle El turned down more money, and he turned down playing in his hometown of Chicago. Those were all things he could have had elsewhere, but he has a good feeling about the Redskins, and how can you not.

The Redskins have Joe Gibbs, Defensive guru Williams, and now the Offensive wizard in Al Saunders. This is the best coaching staff ever put together, and they will take advantage of all the weapons Randle El brings to the table. I expect a lot of good things from Randle El this season, and I expect him to hook up with Santana Moss on more then one occasion from his trick passing style. They have so many weapons you think a guy would get lost, but they are gonna be keying on Moss after last year. That should allow Randle El to be open early and often this season so I expect nothing less then a solid 2006 season. If Randle El has a bad season, I will be very disappointed, because I think in this offense the potential is there for a monster season from the former Quarterback.

Fantasy Value: In this offense, I think Antwaan is capable of getting 800 yards receiving as a ceiling for what he can do. He should up his previously poor TD total, and should be able to get close to 5 TD Catches and has the potential to run a few in. Being an ex QB, he has the ability to throw for a TD or two during trick plays. So all in All Randle El could total ten or so TD’s if your league gives you TD‘s for receiving punts and kicks., and that is not too shabby. He should provide a lot of value with those 800 yards, 10 total tds, and 100 yards running, and passing for the season. All signs are up for the talent that is Randle El.
This is all speculative BS written from a fantasy perspective, not a football perspective. The INDIVIDUAL numbers of any of the Skins receivers don't matter -- the total numbers and subsequent wins do. The value of the FA WR moves is the overall impact on scoring. The idea is for each of these individual players to make the TEAM better -- not to score fantasy points.
