Re: Brunell in Saunders's offense ?

To me, as Joe Gibbs says, Mark Brunell was born to be a quarterback. He has excellent talent, and is a very exceptional leader on the field. (Clinton Portis was just talking about how he keeps everyone loose in the huddle for example). Saunders has to know he has a terrific player in Mark, and he will not be looking to replace him anytime soon. (Which Clinton Portis also said - that he wanted Brunell to remain the starter for a good long while).

Todd Collins is I am sure a very fine backup quarterback. If Saunders says Collins can run his offense extremely well, I am sure he can, and I think with the talent we have this season, we will be able to make a run if Collins is forced to start due to an unwanted injury to Mark. Who knows, Collins could be a late blooming player like Rich Gannon. But we have a superb qb in Brunell, and there is no rational reason to replace him.
