Re: Will T. Jacobs Be Cut ?
David Patten can add a lot as a receiver if healthy, and he is excited and eager to compete with his younger teammates. He adds experience which can be helpful in different ways as well. Patten will make the team ostensibly as the 5th receiver.
James Thrash is a very fine person with an outstanding work ethic. However, his time is coming to an end as a professional football player in my view. He could catch on with another team, but unless we keep 6 wide receivers, it is not likely to be with the Redskins.
Taylor Jacobs has a lot of talent, but has been apparently unable to establish self-confidence on the field in games. Perhaps the shock of being cut will motivate him to overcome this problem on another team. But there really is no place for a player who has struggled so much at a position where we are suddenly one of the most talented in the NFL at.
