Razor all the way. Used to be electric then tried the razor and was sold on the closeness. No electric is gonna beat the closeness. To counteract the irritation I now shave in the shower. The volume of hot water and steam open the pores enough to almost eliminate the irritation totally. Takes some practice to do well but if it concerns you just get a little shower mirror. I now jusr do it blind and never have an issue.
