kerry and edwards probably missed this one on purpose though, cause it is hot button, and rule #1 of running for office is don't give people a reason to hate you... gay marriage is not the focal point of their campaign (not sure what is though
) but getting mired in this mess is unlikely to help them get votes...
on the other hand, maybe kerry's just not done waffling on it yet
