It sounds like they're putting up a smoke screen. He may have a low-level associate, but seriously, wasn't he in the neighborhood of the witness in his own trial?

It just sounds like its his attorney trying to make him look like a victim instead of a dangerous deranged loonatic. <-- (sp?)
