I don't want to belabor the point. But growing up in D.C. during the 80s I think I had a pretty good grasp, however skewed it was, and perception on what certain people are/were referred to and so forth. Again, I'm basing this on my own personal experience. Most of you that know me, would probably say 12th is as cool as they come
I don't think I've ever referred to a white guy as a thug here or anywhere else. I'm just speaking for myself here. Also, generally speaking it is reserved for African American athletes, and sometimes, African Americans in general. I didn't make the rules, I just know what I've seen and heard over the years.
Dave Chappelle kind of touched on this in one of his brialliant comedic moments.
