Re: Madden 2007 Reviews

Initially, I wasn't too impressed with the game other than the 'Skins screensaver at the main menu and the new music. Four days later, I'm liking it a lot. It's fun blocking and using the highlight stick with Portis and Duckett (Use it wiwth Moss too after the catch! It's wicked!) For those of you bickering of '07 having last year's graphics, it's probably time to consider upgrading to 360 or PS3.

Notes:

Go ahead and change Cooley's position to TE. His rating will still be pretty high >90.

Kicking is a lot easier, not that I wanted it to be. Can you turn off the 'help' button when you press it accidently. The right thumbstick isn't too sensitive to slicing kicks/punts wide like some favorite golf games (I'm an Outlaw junkie).

We've been using KC's playbook since Saunders came aboad and lo! Same playbook from last year. Herm Edwards is using KC's playbook so don't be too mad.

You'd think 'JGibbs' defense would feature some of the more exotic blitzes since we don't have a lot of formations.

I'd recommend serious Maddenholics to buy a 360 but, EA continues to kiss Sony's ass so wait for the PS3 and it's improved graphics w/o freeze frames. A/V guys should already be familiar with the PS3 being a HD DVD player with HDMI 1.3.

Roger McIntosh is rated higher OVR than D'Qwell Jackson.
