My Madden '06 (I have no desire to buy the new one since I wasted $$$ on NCAA '07) freezes up a lot. It almost always happens in the 4th right as the offense is lining up. The whole screen freezes and makes a loud buzzing noise and the controller starts to shake. I always have to turn the game off, which can really be a bitch.
Don't play online though.
