since qb plays a big role on the field for the offense, i'd say that brunell shares a lot of the blame. And since the defense isn't strong enough to cover up the offensive ineptness this year, it is more visible (o ineptness) and brunell's lack of playmaking skills is more visible.

does brunell not trust the wideouts to fight for the ball when it is thrown their way for a long pass ? does he seem too content with a 3 and out series ?

Either way, he is playing way too safe when given the opportunity. You have to risk something to gain something.
