Springs was there and participated in practice-- no problems.

Portis sat out with what he described as soreness and stiffness, nothing serious at all, just wanted to rest for a day-- something which drew the mild derision of fellow runningback Chad Morton, who could be heard telling Portis jokingly, "I hate you, man. I really hate you."

Betts says he's basically good to go, but the training staff is holding him back because there's really no sense in rushing him back out there when it's not really necessary. He said his hamstring just got tweaked a little bit, and he could play right now if he had to; but you don't want to rush a hamstring, because those things can just pop completely if you come back too soon.

I saw cornerback Walt Harris working by himself on his backpedal and swivel after practice, apparently testing his knee to see how much pain or inflexibility there might still be. He looked like he was moving around pretty good, so I would expect he'll be off the PUP list in the next week or two.
