Frankly, the Bucs should IR him so he can get healthy. They are 0-3, and he's out for the foreseeable future. Why risk his long term health to rush him back for a lost season?
It's six weeks for a typical person, who is an office employee, postal carrier, or ditch digger, but I think it's a little longer for an athlete. He could be out for the season, especially considering he was in critical condition at the time he arrived at the hospital.
