Jacksonville has one of the best defenses in the NFL, and Bugel's line and Saunders' game plan helped put 36 points on the board for the win. As one Redskin lineman said to me, "We knew we could move the ball on the Jaguars and there was no doubt we would win this one." Any time a team logs 481 yards of offense -- 152 of it on the ground -- against John Henderson, Marcus Stroud and Co., the line was blocking and the play-calling was excellent. Brunell threw 30 times and wasn't sacked once, which is another feather in Bugel's cap. Saunders' play-calling resulted in a 50 percent success rate on third downs, which tells me the Redskins are truly back in the NFC East race.
