He has criticized LG Randall McDaniel's skills and stamina, FB Mike Alstott's blocking ability and even PK Martin Gramatica's uniform.
Madden said in jest that Gramatica's helmet makes him look like he's wearing a Halloween costume. Surprisingly, Gramatica agreed.
"I look at the way I look with that helmet on and I make fun of myself,'' Gramatica said. "What [Madden] said doesn't bother me. He's just doing his job.''
Gramatica even sent Madden an autographed mini-helmet.
