Brunell can still scramble and pass accurately. Bledsoe is like a giant statue, a colorblind statue.
Brunell = 90.4 QB rating (ranked 11th in NFL), 7TDs, 3 INTs, 1465 yards
Bledsoe = 69.2 QB rating (ranked 28th in NFL), 7 TDs, 8 INTs, 1164 yards, 1 lost fumble
Care to repeat what you said before? Both QBs have the same number of TD passes...only Bledsoe has 5 more picks and a lost fumble. The two can't be compared. Brunell is playing well. Bledsoe was one of the WORST QBs in the NFL.
Brunell is not a problem for the Skins. He's doing everything Saunders has asked him to and is playing well. However, the major problem is Saunders' playcalling...constant screens and dump-off passes for a few yards. Brunell proves he can still throw deep (68 yards to Moss against Jags, 52 yards to Lloyd against Titans) when ASKED to. They're not asking him though. Even in the ugly Colts game this week, Brunell was scrambling out of trouble a LOT, saving big losses and even turning them into nice passes to Cooley. He can still play...they're just not asking him too.
The Skins MAIN problem is their defense, it's been decimated by injuries this year.
I wouldn't complain if we started the Campbell era this year, but it wouldn't be because Brunell hasn't performed. If they make the change and keep the crappy playcalling, Campbell won't help the Skins win any more than Brunell.
I can't understand what happened to Al Saunders' "amazing" offensive schemes from the Chiefs. It's like he forgot to bring his playbook from his old office.
Honestly...the Raiders should try to make a deal for Drew. He'd actually be an upgrade. Andrew Walter has the same number of picks as Bledsoe, but in fewer games. That's the only team Bledsoe could start for in the NFL...anywhere else, he'll be a backup or even a 3rd-stringer. Now 2 of his three teams have given up on him...if this Romo experiment is for the rest of the season.
