Don't forget, the Skins could still release Larry Moore, Trung Canidate and/or Byron Chamberlain and free up around $2.5 million. But I tend to think the Skins will be trading down to the middle of the first round, and picking up a guy like Udeze. I don't think the Rams will match on Butler's offer sheet, so the Skins will only have one pick. Outside of Sean Taylor, it would be tough to justify taking a defensive guy at the #5 spot, when so much premier offensive talent would be available to attract bidders for a trade. I find it hard to believe that the Skins are comfortable going into next season without a significant pass rusher on the D-line (despite Gregg Williams' recent assurances they are prepared to do so), so the most logical move would seem to be trading down to the middle of the first round, where they can get the pass rusher they need, and also pick up at least a 2nd rounder, probably more. Until the draft comes, you can be assured that the Skins will play up the idea of using the #5 pick, possibly on an offensive guy, to rally more bidders for a trade.
