I'm not a big fan of Dayne either but to be fair to him Fassell buried him deep in his doghouse and his offense was suited more to Tiki's style of running anyway.
Who knows, maybe in a between the tackles kind of running game Dayne can start to resurect his career. Stranger things have happened.
