I'm pretty sure I'm on record saying that Campbell will (a certainty) surpass the level of play Brunell has played at this season. But that performance, although more than acceptable all things considered, didn't do it. I'm not doubting it will happen; probably later this season. I would say I'm encouraged, but I expected this. What I was impressed with is that he took shots without turning the ball over. But as much as we complain about check downs from Brunell, Campbell only completed 55%, so hopefully in time he will learn when to find his back open to better sustain drives.
And a running game wouldn't hurt.
Given the conditions, a very solid performance.
