Knowing our luck watch him light us up for a career day.

Vick is an incredible deep ball passer. I watched him at VT & the bombs he threw were on the money. Plenty of strength, maybe too much. He is not a good touch passer in short routes, but can throw some intermediate routes very well. His timing is not good either, typically hits guys in the head as they turn around in their break.
But, I must disagree w/the overall assessments of some on the warpath today that he's not good. His wr's dropped 5 last sunday & he rushed for 166! Vick is taking the blame for a TEAM that's flailing. The d is banged up & is givin up big plays, even a hail mary to end the half, and the passing game is weak due to 2 major factors IMO:
1) Vick is not suited to the west coast O, he's a strong armed deep passer that can scramble like no other. The west coast O features a lot of short timing throws that he doesn't do well. He had is best season under D. Reeves.
2) Despite 3 former 1st rnd. picks at wr, they can't seem to get anybody to step up.
Time will tell, remember how poor a passer Mcnabb was early on? He didn't have as much of a natural arm as Vick, but he improved greatly & is now a top qb, well if he's healthy. Vick needs to work on his game, but he's still a difference maker & don't be surprised if he burns us sunday. With so many guys on the falcons from va. they will have a lot of their family & friends there & will be on top of their game. I would much rather play them in atl.
On a final note, I would not want to see us acquire vick even if it were cap friendly, JC is our man & I think he has the potential to be a better qb & leader.
