Joe Gibbs' offense ressurected Mark Brunell's career and HE took our offense from one of the leagues' worst in 2004 to above average in 2005. If you chart improvement, we only have gotten better on offense since he came back.
We are struggling in no small part because he GAVE UP some of his executive coaching powers. This would not be the season to blame Gibbs because he has less control than he did last season.
I will say this: since he isn't calling the offense, he really isn't much more than an overseeing figurehead at this point.
And his interviening may be the best possible solution.
